If I Had a Gun, I’d Take Them All Down to monodram ukraińskiego artysty Piotra Armianovskiego, który wychodzi poza tradycyjne granice opowieści scenicznej. To surowa i bezkompromisowa medytacja nad nieustającą walką Ukrainy z cykliczną przemocą i rosyjską agresją.
Spektakl inspirowany jest prawdziwą historią Dmitrija Bogrowa (1887–1911) – ukraińsko-żydowskiego prawnika, podwójnego agenta i rewolucjonisty, który w 1911 r. dokonał zamachu na rosyjskiego premiera Piotra Stołypina (1862–1911) w Operze Kijowskiej. Bogrow został aresztowany, osądzony i wkrótce potem stracony.
Dzięki nowatorskiemu wykorzystaniu wideo i projektowania dźwięku, spektakl pozwala publiczności zanurzyć się zarówno w historyczny, jak i współczesny Kijów; odtwarza drogę, która doprowadziła młodego Bogrowa do jego ostatecznego czynu, a zarazem odzwierciedla osobiste doświadczenia autora, związane ze współczesnym konfliktem w Ukrainie.

🟩 If I Had a Gun, I’d Take Them All Down | preview performance | Q&A

If I Had a Gun, I’d Take Them All Down is a monodrama by Ukrainian artist Piotr Armianovski that pushes beyond the conventional boundaries of stage storytelling. It delivers a raw and unflinching meditation on Ukraine’s ongoing struggle with cyclical violence and Russian aggression.
The piece is inspired by the true story of Dmitry Bogrov (1887–1911), a Ukrainian-Jewish lawyer, double agent, and revolutionary who, in 1911, assassinated Russian Prime Minister Pyotr Stolypin (1862–1911) at the Kyiv Opera House. Bogrov was arrested, tried, and executed shortly thereafter.
Through innovative use of video and sound design, the production immerses audiences in both historical and contemporary Kyiv, tracing the path that led the young Bogrov to his final act, while echoing the author's own lived experience of conflict in Ukraine today.
The performance will be held in English, with Polish and Ukrainian subtitles.
